Step 1
The Story is a wooded 24.7-acre property. Just a two-hour drive down I65 from Indianapolis and forty-five-minute scenic drive to Hanover Indiana
Step 2
It's your choice. Just hang out and enjoy the sights and sounds nature bring. Wanna fish, scout for mushrooms, shred trees, mow, take pictures, fly drones, read a book? Whatever you want. Be still and heal if that is what you need.
Step 3
This is where I become more directive. My thanks to you for making the trip and making it a special day, I will treat you to a milkshake from Jendy's Pizzeria in town. I will recommend the raspberry one, but heard the others are equally delicious. The ice cream machine is the same one that came from my favorite childhood ice cream shop named Freezer Fresh. I would have never thought anything that was "freezer fresh" would be so delicious.
Step 4
Time permitting, I love to show off the beautiful Hanover College campus. There is a place there referred to as "The Point" where I have taken many photos. It's where you can see a great view of the Ohio River that divide Kentucky and Indiana. I like to say that is the line on the map.
Step 5
Time to wrap-up the day. I will plead for you to come back so I can give a layman Chamber of Commerce tour of beautiful historical downtown Madison. Include a walk through the downtown shopping district and walking along the river boardwalk. I will recommend making a weekend stay and learn more about the history and go hiking at Clifty Falls state park and the must-see waterfalls (especially after a hard rain)
